Post-Construction Cleaning – Pre-Cleaning Instructions
A post-construction clean works very differently from a regular cleaning: our job starts when the construction work ends.
Review the checklist below so your clean goes smoothly and nothing has to be rescheduled.
- All construction work must be fully complete — we perform the final clean, after every trade is finished
- Construction debris, leftover materials, and tools should be removed by your contractor (we remove dust, not debris)
- If you are having air ducts cleaned or HVAC filters replaced, schedule that BEFORE our visit — duct work releases dust back into the home
- Water and electricity must be on (we need working outlets and running water)
- Let us know about freshly painted surfaces — new paint needs gentle handling while it cures
- Arrange access for the crew (someone home, key, or lockbox) and parking close to the entrance
- Tell us up front if any rooms or areas are out of scope
- If the home is occupied, secure valuables and plan for kids and pets to be clear of work areas
- Larger homes are cleaned over two mornings on purpose: fine construction dust stays airborne and resettles overnight — day two catches what settles
- Between visits, run your HVAC fan (ideally with fresh filters) to pull remaining dust from the air
- Keep foot traffic out of finished areas between visits where possible
